Denmark: Immigrant local politicians support banning Hizb ut-Tahrir

Half of the country's local immigrant politicians, from both the left and right wings, want to ban Hizb ut-Tahrir, according to a survey by new agency Ritzau among 35 politicians from non-Western countries.

Just 10% were positive about the Islamic society, which had been criticized for supporting Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Kemal Bektas, local politician in Høje-Taastrup told Ritzau that Hizb ut-Tahrir doesn't belong in Danish democratic society. They don't benefit society or integration, and particularly for the youth they provide a bad example.
